Join us at Riverside Beads & Crafts in Market Deeping for a fun and creative sewing workshop with tutor Sue Hagan.
In this hands-on class, you will learn how to use clothesline rope and your sewing machine to create stylish handmade rope coasters with professional finishes. This workshop is perfect for beginners, as well as anyone looking to refresh their sewing skills while trying something new.
Throughout the session you will:
🧵 Learn how to coil and sew rope using a sewing machine
✨ Create a flat coaster base and starting coil
🎨 Explore decorative finishes using threads, ribbons, fabrics, and beads
🪡 Learn techniques that can also be used for future rope bowl projects
☕ Enjoy complimentary hot and cold drinks and biscuits
Once you have learned the core techniques, you will have the freedom to personalise your coaster designs with your own creative style.

Please bring:
• Sewing machine with zigzag stitch and adjustable stitch length
• 90 or 100 Jeans needle
• Threads of your choice
• Fabric scraps if desired
• Basic sewing kit including scissors, pins/clips, and Pritt Stick
• Extension table or books to support your sewing machine height
Many supplies are also available to purchase in-store if needed.
Workshop fee: £35 per person, including rope materials, tuition, refreshments, and instructions.
