Join us for the Quarry Arts annual Manawa Matariki Community Woodfiring!✨Under the Matariki stars the community comes together and fires our biggest wood-fired kiln. Open to clay artists of all levels by registration!
🏺Registration Fee: $60 pp - 1 shelf or $40 pp - 1/2 shelf
(44 Full Shelves or 88 Half Shelves available)
Includes 1 shelf, access to QAC house glazes, and a spot on the firing roster.
An invitation to participate the Manawa Matariki Exhibition curated by Rosie Parsonson (Studio 11, Rosy & Rich)
🔥 Firing Info: Cone 9-10 Stoneware (1280°C - 1300°C). All works must be made from stoneware clay; all works to be bisqued fired.
📅IMPORTANT DATES:
Registration Payment Due: TUES 2nd JUNE | 4pm
Delivery & Glazing + Firing Roster: FRI 5th / SAT 6th / SUN 7th | By roster: 10am - 1pm or 1pm - 4pm
Loading of Manawa: TUES 9th – THURS 18th JUNE
Firing of Manawa: SAT 20th – SUN 21st JUNE | 36-hour firing
Unloading of Manawa: SAT 27th JUNE | 12pm
