Take part in our historical Magical Mystery Tours for an entertaining, story-filled journey through the hidden secrets and legends of the Royal Navy.
Join us for a family friendly adventure where history meets mystery!
Visitors gather at the Visitor Centre at set times throughout the day to begin their adventure. Where you’ll go next is anyone’s guess… Each group draws a mysterious destination in the National Museum of the Royal Navy from the hat, and our costumed storytellers will guide you there, spinning surprising tales along the way.
Your journey could lead you to through our ships and galleries finding out about incredible stories hidden in plain sight. How about the Enigma Machine & the Royal Navy seizures that cracked the final puzzle of the second world war or peer into the basements of our buildings; once air raid shelters during WW2 and prisons for the French during the Napoleonic wars. There are so many mysterious stories you could discover along the way!
Brought to life by the talented performers at Histrionics, these interactive tours for the whole family will ignite the imagination, invite a lot of laughs and sprinkle in some learning for the perfect half term adventure. With drama, a slice of comedy, and plenty of audience interaction, this event is guaranteed to delight visitors of all ages with a blend of humour, history, and fun!
