About this Event
A quiet room. A bowl of matcha. Nothing else.
Each weekend, we open a small tea ceremony at Gleam & Sip in the Annex. Hosted by a certified Urasenke tea instructor with six years of dedicated practice. This is not a matcha workshop — it is a ceremony.
You will sit, watch, and receive a bowl of ceremonial matcha whisked by a trained hand. You will learn the meaning behind each gesture — the bow, the turn of the bowl, the silence. When you are ready, you will whisk your own.
What to expect:
A 75-minute guided ceremony in an intimate setting
A bowl of ceremonial usucha whisked and served by instructor
A seasonal tasting — a second preparation paired with a small sweet Hands-on whisking with instructor's guidance
A take-home gift pack with a matcha sachet, ceremony card, and drink voucher
This is a small gathering. 6 guests, no walk-ins.
