《别担心，我在这里》以卡夫卡经典作品《变形记》为创作蓝本，聚焦香港的校园霸凌自杀事件，通过媒体煽情的模拟新闻实境秀，层层剥茧式呈现事件中的加害者群像。故事里，被霸凌死者的父母隐约是放火烧死警察的嫌疑人，这一身份也让他们的女儿沦为校园与社会共同霸凌的对象；学校老师的关怀裹挟着政治生存的现实考量；媒体更是由政治势力的相关人员假扮，以添油加醋的恶意剪辑完成对当事人的舆论定罪。当真相逐步浮出水面，整个社会潜藏的巨大“背后灵”才得以显现，它才是操纵一切、制造群体性霸凌、阶级压迫的根源。
Inspired by Franz Kafka’s The Metamorphosis, Hold on, my dear is a visceral exploration of school bullying and youth suicide in Hong Kong. Using a sensationalist mock-news format, the play strips away the layers of a tragedy to expose a collective of perpetrators. The story follows a student driven to death after being vilified by society, fueled by rumors that her parents were involved in a political arson attack. In this searing critique, teachers’ care is compromised by political survival while the media uses malicious editing to incite public condemnation. As the truth emerges, the play reveals a terrifying "specter" haunting the city. This invisible force is the true puppet master, driving the systemic bullying, class oppression, and collective cruelty that define the modern age.
