Join us for the official launch of the anthologyFORESYTHE: Midwifery + The Black Birthing Family, a community-written collection centering the voices, memories, and lived experiences of Black birthing families, midwives, doulas, and perinatal practitioners across Massachusetts.
This intimate gathering will feature live readings from contributing writers and Birthlooms Storytellers, offering reflections on lineage, maternal health, reproductive justice, and collective care.
Through storytelling, dialogue, and shared witnessing, the event holds space for literary testimony, intergenerational reflection, and community connection, honoring the written archive alongside the visual and cinematic work of the Midwifery + The Black Birthing Family documentary project.
Guests will have the opportunity to hear directly from contributors, engage in conversation, and celebrate the stories that shape Black birthing life and legacy.
