Shining Light on Truth: New Haven, Yale, and Slavery complements the publication of Yale and Slavery: A History by David W. Blight, Sterling Professor of History and African American Studies at Yale. It draws on the Yale and Slavery Research Project’s key findings, with a special focus on stories of Black New Haven - including stories about early Black students and alumni of Yale - and on a little-known proposal made in 1831. Uncover even more about the collection with an opportunity to hear from the exhibition's curatorial team Michael J. Morand, Director of Community Engagement at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library and Charles E.
