На цій зустрічі розберемо основні кроки та відповімо на найпоширеніші запитання батьків. Ця зустріч буде особливо корисною для батьків дітей середньої та старшої школи.
Під час зустрічі поговоримо про:
• систему вищої та спеціальної освіти у США
• програми Running Start
• technical colleges та academies
• community colleges
• різницю між public та private universities
• private colleges
Окремо розглянемо відмінності між вимогами до вступу в американські, канадські та європейські університети.
Зустріч проведе Наталія Гусар — викладачка з понад 20-річним досвідом роботи в американських коледжах, мама двох студентів та фахівчиня з роботи зі студентами програм Running Start і transfer.
Додатково партнер події — Refugee Women’s Alliance (REWA) коротко розповість про безкоштовні програми для українських батьків та підлітків (13+), зокрема:
• підтримку у подоланні тривоги та стресу (перед навчанням і тестами)

U.S. Education System: How to Help Your Child Choose the Right Path
We invite parents to an informational session about the U.S. education system — for those who want to better understand the opportunities available and feel more confident guiding their child’s educational journey.

How does the U.S. education system work? What are the options after high school? Where to start, and how not to feel overwhelmed by different programs, colleges, and requirements? During this session, we will walk through the key steps and answer the most common questions parents have.
During the session, we will cover:
• higher and specialized education pathways in the U.S.
• Running Start programs
• technical colleges and academies
• community colleges
• the difference between public and private universities
• private colleges
We will also look at the differences in admission requirements for U.S., Canadian, and European universities.
The session will be led by Natalia Husar — a college instructor with over 20 years of experience in U.S. higher education, a mother of two college students, and a specialist working with Running Start and transfer students.
Additionally, the event partner — Refugee Women’s Alliance (REWA) — will briefly introduce free programs for Ukrainian parents and teens (13+), including:
• support with anxiety and stress (related to school and testing)
• career coaching
• tutoring for youth
• mental health support for parents and teens
• parent support groups and other services
