Sýningin Lífsmynstur – Öll þessi ár er persónuleg könnun Þórdísar Öldu Sigurðardóttur á tengslum mannverunnar við umhverfi sitt. Hún rannsakar hugmyndina um „náttúru“ sem línu milli okkar og heimsins í kringum okkur – línu sem við nánari skoðun reynist tilbúningur og sífellt óljósari í samtímanum. Á sýningunni endurspeglar hún eigin minningar í breyttu landslagi mannlífs og umhverfisins á Íslandi. Með næmni og forvitni skoðar hún hvernig þessi tengsl hafa þróast í gegnum tíðina. Áhorfendum bíðst að staldra við og endurhugsa eigin stað í heildarmyndinni.
Þórdís Alda Sigurðardóttir (f. 1950 í Reykjavík) er myndlistarkona sem býr og starfar í Mosfellsbæ og Skagafirði. Hún nam við Kennaraháskóla Íslands, Myndlistarskóla Reykjavíkur, Mynd- og handíðaskóla Íslands og Akademie der Bildenden Künste í München, Þýskalandi. Þórdís hefur verið virkur þátttakandi í myndlistarlífi Íslands í áratugi og tekið þátt í fjölda sýninga hérlendis og erlendis, m.a. í Listasafni Reykjavíkur, Listasafninu á Akureyri, Galleri Katedralen í Danmörku og Arka gallerí í Litháen. Hún er félagi í SÍM, MHR, Royal Society of Sculptors í Bretlandi og Akademíu skynunarinnar. Í verkum hennar eru efniviður, skynjun, minningar og umhverfi í forgrunni, þar sem hún skapar marglaga og persónulegt myndmál. Verk hennar hafa verið sýnd víða um Ísland, í Evrópu og Bandaríkjunum.

Life Patterns – All These Years is a deeply personal exploration by Þórdís of the relationship between human beings and their environment. In her work, she examines the idea of “nature” as a line often drawn between ourselves and the world around us—a boundary that, upon closer inspection, reveals itself to be a construct. Drawing on her own memories and lived experience, Þórdís reflects her life within the shifting landscapes of human presence and the natural world in Iceland. As this division becomes increasingly blurred in contemporary life, she explores this evolving terrain with sensitivity, repetition, and curiosity. Viewers are invited to pause, reflect, and reconsider their own place within the interconnected whole.
Þórdís Alda Sigurðardóttir (b. 1950, Reykjavík) is an Icelandic visual artist based in Mosfellsbær and Skagafjörður, Iceland. She studied at the Teachers’ Training College of Iceland, Reykjavík College of Art, the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts, and the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Germany. An active figure in Iceland’s contemporary art scene for decades, she has exhibited extensively both locally and internationally — including the Reykjavik Art Museum, Akureyri Art Museum, Galleri Katedralen in Denmark, and Arka Gallery in Lithuania. She is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors (UK), SÍM (The Association of Icelandic Visual Artists), MHR (Reykjavik Sculptors’ Association), and The Academy of the Senses. Her work often explores themes of materiality, perception, memory, and environment, forming a layered and personal visual language. Her art has been shown widely across Iceland, Europe, and the United States.
