ÉCOLE D’UN JOUR - L'ASCENSION DE LA BOURGEOISIE : RÉVOLUTIONS, RATIONALITÉ ET VIOLENCE (MONTRÉAL)[English follows]
À voir comment la « classe Epstein » domine le monde et brise des vies à coup de bombes, de crimes dépravés et d’attaques sur nos conditions de vie, nombreux seraient surpris d’apprendre que la bourgeoisie a autrefois joué un rôle progressiste dans l’histoire. C’était l’époque de son ascension et de sa lutte contre l’ancien ordre féodal décrépit, une époque de révolutions et de luttes contre l’obscurantisme, mais aussi de la consolidation brutale d’un nouveau régime.
Cette École d’un jour du PCR à Montréal vise à étudier cette période d’essor de la bourgeoisie. En tirant les leçons des révolutions du passé, nous pouvons mieux les retourner contre la bourgeoisie décadente et déclinante de notre époque. Trois présentations bilingues sont au menu :
-La philosophie révolutionnaire des Lumières
-La révolution française de 1789-1794
-Les origines véritables du capitalisme

DAY SCHOOL - LIBERTY AND SLAVERY: THE RISE OF THE BOURGEOISIE (MONTREAL)
Given how the “Epstein class” dominates the world and destroys lives through bombs, depraved crimes, and attacks on our living conditions, many would be surprised to learn that the bourgeoisie once played a progressive role in history. It was the era of its rise and its struggle against the decaying old feudal order, a time of revolutions and struggles against obscurantism, but also of the brutal consolidation of a new regime.
This Day School organized by the PCR in Montreal aims to examine this period of the bourgeoisie’s rise. By drawing lessons from the revolutions of the past, we can better turn them against the decadent and declining bourgeoisie of our time. Three bilingual presentations are on the agenda:
-The revolutionary philosophy of the Enlightenment
-The French Revolution of 1789-1794
-The real origins of capitalism
