About this Event

exChange Intergenerational Dialogue & Artmaking Event

Welcome to our sixth edition of our intergenerational art-making and dialogue event where generations come together to engage in meaningful conversations and creative artmaking!

Join us on Saturday June 13 2026 from 9:30AM-4:00PM at MEM - Centre des mémoires montréalaises for an exciting event where we celebrate and explore our diverse 2SLGBTQIA+ identities! Through daring dialogue and creative expression, we aim to foster intergenerational connections and promote understanding.

Through guided self-reflection and sharing by facilitators and teaching artists, participants will explore creative mixed-media, collage and zines on the theme:

"What do you wish to bring forward for queer future generations?”

---

Please note that this event is offered at no cost to participants,
but you must be registered to attend, and space is limited.

- more information will be shared via Instagram as we approach the event date.

---

We look forward to gathering with you!

Warmly, queerly, and gratefully,

The exChange team

About the exChange project

exChange is an Intergenerational 2SLGBTQIA+ daring dialogue arts project. Our aim is to bridge the gap between 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and the elders who paved the way. This intergenerational exchange through art hopes to create spaces where 2SLGBTQIA+ youth can learn the stories of how their freedoms have come to be, and where older folks from the 2SLGBTQIA+ can learn new terminology and gain a deeper understanding of the current evolution of the community. The goal of this initiative is twofold: to establish intergenerational reciprocal relationships through art making, and to document the storytelling of the English-speaking 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in Montreal / Tiohtià:ke, which are often stories unheard.
