If you or your child have ever received a TLC teddy during a hospital visit, we would love to welcome you to our TLC Essex Teddy Bear Picnic, celebrating 25 years of Teddies for Loving Care in Essex.
This relaxed, family-friendly event has been created for everyone whose life has been touched by a TLC teddy children, families, and adults who still have the teddy they received as a child. It’s a chance to come together, enjoy a fun day out, and celebrate the comfort and kindness that TLC teddies represent.
What to expect on the day:
🧸 Teddy bear photo opportunities & keepsakes
🎨 Colouring, crafts & creative play areas
🎈 Children’s entertainment and activities
🧺 A picnic-style, informal family atmosphere
🤝 Meet the TLC volunteers who support local hospitals
Everyone is encouraged to bring their TLC teddy with them — whether it’s brand new, wonderfully well-loved, or a teddy you’ve kept for many years.
Sharing Your TLC Story 💬
As part of our 25th anniversary, we are gently inviting people to share their TLC story, if they wish.
This could be:
A short memory of when you or your child received a teddy
A photo of a TLC bear that’s become part of your family
A message about what that moment meant to you
There is no obligation at all to take part, sharing is entirely optional, and people can choose whether their story is shared publicly or kept private.
Above all, this day is about celebration, smiles, and togetherness 💛
