Let’s welcome Spring together! 🌷 Join us at SAC Park on Friday night, April 24th, for our annual Valborg celebration. This tradition has been growing every year, and for 2026, we are thrilled to open the gates to the entire community!
Come for the bonfire, be entertained by the Witches of Sutton, stay for the "tunbrödsrulle," and enjoy a night of Scandinavian tradition with family and friends.
📅 The Schedule
* 6:00 PM: "Doors" Open – Grab a spot and settle in!
* 6:30 PM: Food is served 🌭 (Hot dogs, tunbrödsrulle, & more)
* 7:30 PM: Special dance performance by The Witches of Sutton! 🧙♀️
* 8:00 PM (Dusk): Lighting of the Bonfire 🔥

We’ll have hot dogs, classic Swedish tunbrödsrulle, hot chocolate, Scandinavian waffles, and other treats—all reasonably priced (cash only). A cash bar will be available for all other beverages.
✨ What to Bring
* Seating: Bring a comfy lawn or camp chair! (We will have some benches and folding chairs available if you forget).
* Friends: Everyone is welcome!
What is Valborg (Walpurgis Night)? Celebrated in Sweden on the last day of April, Valborg marks the arrival of spring and the end of winter. This traditional festival features large bonfires, choir singing, and community gatherings to welcome warmer weather, often blending ancient, protective fire rituals with modern university student celebrations.
