Your community organization, Massey Matters, has drafted a new constitution, and we need your voice to make it official! This document is the foundation of everything we do, and we want to ensure it truly reflects the needs and values of the Massey community.
This is a vital opportunity for you to read, review, and provide feedback on the rules that will guide us for years to come.
What is a Constitution and Why is it Important?
Think of a constitution as the rulebook and mission statement for our organization.
It defines who we are: It officially states our name, purpose, and commitment to the Massey community.
It dictates how we operate: It outlines the structure of our committee, how decisions are made (like electing officers), how our finances are managed, and how we ensure we are fair and accountable to you, our members.
It provides stability: It gives us a clear, legal framework that ensures consistency, helps us avoid confusion or disputes, and is often a requirement for securing funding to run our vital programs.
Simply put, a clear, up-to-date constitution is essential for Massey Matters to continue operating effectively and in your best interest!
