Guest Poet
Miriam Barr is a poet who performs her work and enjoys collaborating with visual artists, musicians, dancers, film makers and other poets - whoever she can rope in. Miriam has a long history with Poetry Live, starting out on the open mic as an 18 year old at the turn of the century, becoming an emcee for six years, and now serving as part of the mentors team, though you haven't seen her around for a while as she has been busy procreating over the last year or so. Her poetry has been published in places like Blackmail Press, Takahe, Brief, and Landfall as well as several anthologies, academic texts, a few wine bottles, and her collection Bullet Hole Riddle (Steele Robert's Aotearoa, 2014).

Leaky Shadows comprises the dreamily eclectic dark-indie folk stylings of veteran guitarist-songwriter Dylan Storey and vocals from poet-singer-writer Barbs Peterson. Dylan’s lyrics encompass everything from the weary to the whimsical, woven together with contemplative imagery, in a style ranging from laid back progressive alternative country to psychedelic rock.
