This moderate loop hike delivers great mileage, solid elevation, and stunning Santa Rosa Mountain views, all capped off with a scenic destination at Lake Cahuilla. It’s a perfect January hike — open, accessible, and ideal for #HERITAGEHIKINGCLUB .

• Distance: 6.5–7.5 miles (options available)
• Elevation Gain: ~900–1,100 feet
• Difficulty: Moderate
• Trail Type: Loop
🥾 Why You’ll Love This Hike:
• Excellent winter conditions
• Loop format (no backtracking!)
• Clear, well-used trails
• Great conditioning without being overwhelming

• Limited shade — We'll start at 8:00am
• No waterfalls, but scenic lake views at the turnaround

How to get to La Quinta Cove to Lake Cahuilla?
Hwy 111 exit Washington Blvd go south, right on Eisenhower and go directly all the way to the South until it "T" intersects the last road and turn right.
