Discover how to identify birds from their song and calls in one of the best places for birds in Sussex! Join us in this guided walk and workshop with birdsong specialist Charlie Peverett.
We'll focus on the spring sounds of beautiful Rye Harbour nature reserve and its fringes. Suitable for those with no previous knowledge of identifying birdsong, as well as improvers. Entry is free for accompanying Sighted Guides and Carers.
Meeting at Rye Harbour Car Park, we'll take a slow walk of around 2 miles over around 2.5 hours. We'll end at the Discovery Centre for a quick break, followed by a short indoor Q&A and recap session.
Ahead of the day we'll share the recorded sounds of five distinctive species of Rye Harbour. During the walk we'll listen for the live performances of each, along with many other bird sounds, and learn techniques for tuning our ears to them.
