Have you always wanted to learn how to make real, homemade sourdough bread but didn't know where to start? I'm opening up my home in Englewood for personal, one-on-one sourdough lessons — and I'm offering them on a donation basis, because I truly believe everyone deserves access to the art of homemade bread.
Whether you're a complete beginner or you've tried and failed a few times, come learn alongside me in my kitchen. I'll walk you through the entire process step by step — no overwhelm, no jargon, just real bread made with real ingredients and real organic whole wheat flour.
What's included:
🌾 A personal, 1-on-1 hands-on sourdough lesson in my home (~2 hours)
🌾 My tried-and-true sourdough bread recipe to take home
🌾 A starter to take home and keep — your choice of a live active starter (bring your own glass jar!) or a dehydrated starter that stays shelf-stable until you're ready to activate it (instructions included)
🌾 A fresh-baked sourdough loaf that we bake together during class
What to bring:
🌟 An apron (optional but handy!)
🌟 A notebook and pen
🌟 A glass jar if you'd like to take home a live starter
Cost:
This class is donation-based — give what you can. Cash on the day of your lesson or Venmo both work. I also happily welcome trades in lieu of money. Some ideas: fresh eggs, garden produce or herbs, handmade goods, honey, homemade preserves, a skill or service you offer. Get creative — let's talk!
Scheduling:
