Jill from Iner Sense & myself are so excited to welcome you to an afternoon of Yin Yoga and Sound Bath where we can create a sacred space for you to rest, relax and gift yourself a few hours of self care! Enjoy a few hours of deep relaxation surrounded by aromas of essential oils and concluded by nourishing for the body and soul Soundbath.
🧘🏻♀️ We will start with an hour of Yin Yoga & Mindfulness with its long held postured to distress, release, restore & unwind. The session will conclude with an hour of Sound Bath - an immersion in sounds and vibrations that are healing for your body, mind and soul.
🪵 This deeply nourishing experience is inspired by the Wood element and the energy of spring opening doors for growth, expansion, and new possibility. Through slow, grounding Yin postures and immersive sound, you’ll be guided to soften tension, support the body’s natural flow of Qi, and reconnect with a sense of inner stability.
💫Yin Yoga practice is a combination of seated & lying down asanas. Yin postures are held from a couple of minutes to sometimes 3-5 minutes each. Being mindful in a posture for such a long time will not only have a calming and restorative effect, but will also aid in relaxing and releasing all the tight areas in the body. It is a very meditative experience as well: staying in a posture for a long period of time and being aware of your breath calms your brain and relaxes your nervous system switching it to a parasympathetic mode. Yin Yoga is a great pathway for all those new to the Practice to start on their Yoga journey as well as for all those who have been practicing Yoga for a while.
✨In traditional Chinese philosophy, spring is governed by the Wood element with its energy of renewal, movement, and upward growth. After the stillness of winter, the body begins to shift, mirroring nature’s transition into expansion and flow. A Soundbath during this season works in harmony with this energy. The vibrations help to gently “unstick” stagnant Qi, support emotional release, and encourage a smoother internal flow. It’s an invitation to move out of hibernation and into a more vibrant, aligned state, where growth feels natural, supported, and easeful.
- Please bring your own mat and whatever props you think you might need for the practice (yoga blocks, bolsters, cushions, blankets, yoga straps etc).
- The Practice is open to all ages, shapes, levels and abilities
