During this workshop we will learn to grow our own oyster mushrooms.
50pp ono, 90 for 2 ppl within a family
No experience needed. Slow pace, small group, all outdoors 🌿
We will explore who fungi are as beings explore different kinds of fungi and concentrate on decomposes. Particularly on grey oyster mushrooms as they have proven to be one of the most efficient, fast and easiest to grow for most of us. We'll learn how to get them once and keep them growing forever, suggesting different types of food.
Come curious, leave more connected to the land.
📍 Meetup Point: The Fungi Farm at Richmond Community Gardens (look for the wooden mushroom sculptures near the river end of Evelyn Cousins. Close to the swimming pool and children playground close to Avebury house).
No prior knowledge is necessary. Just your enthusiasm to learn, ready ears and ready to try new things and sense of humour😊
We will have a very necessary 30-40min introduction talk with some unique understandings of what plants are, how we can help them and how they can help us. All with good scientific attitude. We will also learn some tools/attitudes to foraging and then walk around and learn about 10-12 plants that can be found nearly in every backyard during this workshop, which out of my experience have proven to be most practical and easiest to remember.
2 - 2,5 hours is a must to do all the above.
