On Saturday 27th June, our local legend Nige is taking on an incredible three-stage endurance challenge to raise Β£10,000 for Daffodils Dreams π
This amazing Wigan-based charity is very close to our hearts, we support them each year with a fundraiser and a Christmas Toy Appeal - so weβre especially proud that Nige will be passing through our pub on the day!
Letβs show him what our community is all about and give him the support he deservesβ¦ just like you always do π
This is no ordinary fundraiserβ¦
Nige's challenge - a true painathon, it will push him to his physical and mental limits!
His challenge starts at 10am from Wigan Pier, where heβs going to be pulling a canal barge to Crooke. Then, when he reach Crooke heβs walking barefoot with a 35kg sandbag towards Wigan centre via Woodhouse Lane to Sherringtons.
Finally, he will finish on his hands and knees to The Boars Head in Standish.
