🎨🌸 Bloom – Sip & Paint Watercolour Workshop 🌸🍷Step into an evening of gentle watercolour exploration as we paint these beautiful blooming florals in luminous colour.
We’ll explore the rich, layered beauty of these expressive blooms — from soft blush pinks and glowing coral tones to delicate highlights and deeper shadowed folds within the petals. Working with flowing washes and vibrant colour, we’ll build depth and movement within the petals, capturing the softness and energy that makes watercolour such a magical medium.
Throughout the evening we’ll explore techniques including:
• Wet-on-wet painting to create soft blends and glowing colour transitions
• Layering transparent washes to build depth and tonal richness
• Stippling and delicate brushwork to suggest the movement and structure of petals
• Salt effects to create beautiful organic textures within the paint
• Subtle resist techniques to preserve highlights and bring sparkle to the finished piece
We’ll be working at A3 size, giving you plenty of space to explore colour and expressive brushwork.
This relaxed workshop is perfectly designed for beginners and improvers alike and is taught completely step-by-step, with up-close demonstrations every step of the way. The session is led by a qualified and experienced Art & Design teacher, so you’ll feel supported and guided throughout the evening.
Don’t worry if drawing isn’t your thing — no drawing is required if you don’t want to. Optional outlines will be available so you can focus on enjoying the painting process and experimenting with colour.
This is not your average pub sip & paint.
It’s a thoughtful, relaxed workshop, where you can slow down, explore watercolour techniques, and build confidence while creating something truly special.
Come on your own or with friends — many guests do both. Our evenings are welcoming, friendly and gently paced, giving everyone the space to enjoy the process and reconnect with their creativity.
By the end of the session you’ll leave with a large A3 floral painting, full of glowing colour and expressive brushwork — perfect to frame at home, give as a gift, or simply keep as a reminder of a lovely creative evening.
