Do you long for a career that enables you to protect people and the environment while making a positive difference in your community? One that feeds your interest in health and science but doesn't require you to work in a lab or healthcare?
Become a Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS)!
As an REHS, you could investigate a waterborne disease outbreak one day, educate a restaurant owner about safe food preparation the next, and enforce regulations at a summer camp facility to ensure children's safety the day after. Every day is different and the work β€” protecting people, safeguarding the environment, and saving lives β€” is meaningful and fulfilling.
The Rutgers Environment & Public Health (EPH) program will help you begin this career by:
β–Έ Giving you the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience necessary to thrive in the field.
β–Έ Qualifying you to apply to take the NJ REHS licensing examβ€”a credential you'll need to work in New Jersey and that will make you competitive in job markets outside of the state.
β–ΈExpanding your professional network by connecting you with environmental health professionals across various sectors – federal, state, county, municipal, and private – and taking your career to new heights.
