Dzień po wernisażu zapraszamy na oprowadzanie autorskie po wystawie „Tam, gdzie nie sięga światło” z udziałem artystki, Lulu MacDonald. W spotkaniu weźmie także udział kuratorka wystawy Mika Drozdowska. Oprowadzanie będzie dwujęzyczne, po polsku i angielsku.

Podczas oprowadzania artystka opowie o procesie powstawania prac oraz o historiach i krajobrazach, które stały się punktem wyjścia dla wystawy. Jednym z nich jest Rhubarb Triangle w Yorkshire - region, w którym rabarbar uprawia się w całkowitej ciemności, a jego zbiór odbywa się przy świecach. Ta osobliwa praktyka staje się w projekcie MacDonald metaforą działania w warunkach niepewności: pracy często niewidocznej, rozwijającej się poza światłem, a jednak podtrzymującej możliwość wzrostu.
Spacer po wystawie będzie okazją do przyjrzenia się realizacjom artystki, które zdają się wyrastać z architektury galerii niczym formy rozwijające się w ukryciu. Organiczne struktury odnoszą się do procesów ekologicznych, migracji oraz sposobów adaptacji do zmiennych i niestabilnych warunków współczesności.
Spotkanie stanie się także przestrzenią rozmowy o tym, czy ciemność, zamiast oznaczać brak, może być miejscem działania, orientacji i stopniowego rozwoju.

How does the unseen grow?
The day after the opening, we invite you to a guided tour of the exhibition “Where the Light Won't Reach” led by the artist, Lulu MacDonald and the curator, Mika Drozdowska. The tour will be bilingual, in Polish and English.

During the tour, the artist will talk about the creative process behind the works, as well as the stories and landscapes that served as the starting point for the exhibition. One of these is the Rhubarb Triangle in Yorkshire – a region where rhubarb is grown in complete darkness and harvested by candlelight. In MacDonald’s project, this peculiar practice becomes a metaphor for working under conditions of uncertainty: labour that is often invisible, unfolding beyond the light, yet sustaining the possibility of growth.
A walk through the exhibition will offer an opportunity to examine the artist’s works, which seem to emerge from the gallery’s architecture like forms developing in secret. The organic structures refer to ecological processes, migration, and ways of adapting to the changing and unstable conditions of the present day.
The event will also provide a space for discussion on whether darkness, rather than signifying absence, can be a place of action, orientation and gradual development.
