Join us for a special cross-cultural choral concert in Salt Lake City as the Salt Lake Chinese Choir welcomes Taiwan’s Rejuvenis Group for a collaborative performance.
Echoes in Harmony: Uniting Voices Across Oceans is more than the title of this concert. It is a musical meeting shaped by distance, cultural exchange, and a shared love of choral art.
For the first time, the Salt Lake Chinese Choir is hosting an overseas choir in Salt Lake City, welcoming Rejuvenis Group from Taiwan to share one stage in a concert that brings together two communities, two musical perspectives, and two cultural experiences.
The “ocean” in the theme symbolizes journey, distance, and connection. The “mountains” reflect the landscape of Utah and represent voices rooted here, reaching outward to the world. From Taiwan to Utah, this concert celebrates the power of Chinese-language choral music to cross borders, resonate across cultures, and create meaningful human connection.
The program features a rich selection of contemporary Chinese and Taiwanese choral works, offering audiences an opportunity to experience the beauty, color, and vitality of today’s Mandarin-language choral repertoire. More than a performance, this event is an invitation to encounter new sounds, new stories, and shared resonance through song.
《自海而來，向山而歌》不只是這場音樂會的主題，更是一場跨越海洋、連結文化的聲音相遇。
這次，鹽湖華人合唱團首次在鹽湖城主辦並邀請海外合唱團共同演出，迎來來自台灣的海歸人聲合唱團。來自不同地方的兩個團隊，將在同一座舞台上相遇，透過歌聲展開一場真正跨洋、跨文化的音樂對話。
主題中的「海」，象徵遠道而來的旅程與連結；「山」，則代表猶他州的地景，也象徵我們立足此地、向世界發聲。從台灣到猶他，從海到山，這場音樂會希望傳遞的是華語合唱音樂跨越地域、穿越文化、彼此共鳴的力量。
本場演出將呈現多首當代華語合唱作品，展現當代中文合唱豐富而鮮活的樣貌。透過這次合作，我們希望分享的不只是音樂本身，更是一種交流的可能：即使來自不同地方，我們依然可以在歌聲中相遇，在共鳴中彼此理解。
