渡海泳乃一項具香港特色的民間活動／盛事－身為香港人的，未必游過，但一定知道。渡海泳更可視為一種連接港澳兩地的「運動」（movement）。它體現了「Be Water, Hong Kong」的理念，並隱喻著「自由式」的精神。
在更深層的意義上，渡海泳象徵著上兩代香港人從內地「游水落嚟」（偷渡）的歷程 －最初追求自由，繼而向民主的理想邁進，展現了深厚的香港精神。
聯展邀請了八位香港藝術家，以多樣的藝術形式展開對話，聚焦當前香港藝術在本土與海外的發表空間，旨在探索如何在日益增多的潛在界限中，尋求更多的發表渠道。
CROSS HARBOUR RACE is a unique folk activity and event in Hong Kong - being Hong Kongers, you may not have participated, but you definitely know about it. It can also be interpreted as a ‘movement’ connecting Hong Kong and Taiwan. It also embodies the concept of ‘Be Water Hong Kong’ and serves as a metaphor for ‘freedom.’ This can be further interpreted as representing the spirit of Hong Kong, where the previous generations of Hong Kongers ‘swam across’ (smuggling) from the mainland - first in pursuit of freedom, and subsequently in the quest for democracy.
The exhibition features eight Hong Kong artists to engage in dialogue through diverse artistic forms, focusing on the current presentation spaces of Hong Kong art both locally and internationally. The exhibition aims to explore how to seek more avenues for expression amid the increasingly numerous potential boundaries.
