歌剧伤逝纽约版 Remorse

歌剧《伤逝》改编自鲁迅1925年的经典同名小说，以诗意的音乐语言与深刻的戏剧张力，再现涓生与子君这对青年恋人追求自由爱情的悲剧。故事发生在1920年代的北京，涓生与子君，一个是充满理想的知识青年，一个是渴望自由的新女性。他们在春天里相识，子君一句“我是我自己的”掷地有声，深深震撼了涓生的心灵。二人因爱相守，勇敢对抗封建家庭的束缚，开始了自由结合的生活，憧憬一个充满希望的未来。

夏天见证了他们爱情的炽热。紫藤花在夕阳中盛放，象征着他们对未来的希望与纯真的理想。然而，秋日的凉意逐渐侵蚀他们的新生活。迁居后，两个人屡遭挫折。紫藤花逐渐凋零，正如他们的爱情，从热烈的激情走向渐渐破碎。二人理想的火焰黯淡，无法忽视隔膜，心中的裂痕不断扩大。

冬天的到来标志着一切的破灭。现实的寒风吹熄了理想的火焰，涓生对现实的妥协使他道出“我已经不爱你了”。子君在绝望中选择出走，而涓生则独自面对紫藤花的凋零，在悔恨与孤独中走向崩溃。

在2025年的歌剧《伤逝》纽约版中，我们加入了叙事者这一全新角色，作为笔者和旁白的化身。他站在作品和观众之间，既是观众走进《伤逝》世界的引路人，也为观众提供了观赏距离，拥有能够深刻洞察原作意义的空间。

而贯穿全剧的紫藤花，象征着爱情与理想的脆弱与幻灭。这部作品通过涓生与子君的故事，深刻探讨了自由与牺牲、理想与现实的复杂张力。

The opera Remorse is adapted from Lu Xun's 1925 classic novella of the same name, capturing the tragic pursuit of free love between two young lovers through poetic musical language and profound dramatic tension. Set in 1920s Beijing, the story follows Juansheng, an idealistic intellectual, and Zijun, a new woman yearning for freedom. They meet in the spring, and Zijun’s resolute declaration, “I am my own self,” deeply moves Juansheng’s heart. United by love, they bravely defy the constraints of their feudal families, embarking on a life of free union and envisioning a hopeful future.

The summer witnesses the fervor of their love. Wisteria blossoms in the sunset, symbolizing their hope for the future and their pure ideals. However, as autumn arrives, a chill begins to erode their new life. After relocating, the couple faces repeated setbacks. The wisteria gradually withers, mirroring the slow disintegration of their love. The flame of their ideals dims, and they can no longer ignore the growing distance between them, as cracks in their hearts widen.

Winter marks the complete collapse of their world. The harsh winds of reality extinguish the flame of their ideals. Juansheng compromises with reality, uttering the devastating words, “I no longer love you.” In despair, Zijun chooses to leave, while Juansheng is left to face the withering wisteria alone, descending into regret and loneliness until he is consumed by his own collapse.

In the 2025 New York production of Remorse, a new role has been introduced: the Narrator, serving as both the embodiment of the author and the voice of the story. Positioned between the work and the audience, the Narrator acts as a guide, leading viewers into the world of Remorse while offering a sense of distance that allows for deeper reflection on the original text's meaning.

The wisteria, which weaves through the entire production, symbolizes the fragility and disillusionment of love and ideals. Through the story of Juansheng and Zijun, this work profoundly explores the complex tensions between freedom and sacrifice, as well as ideals and reality.
