About this Event
在逐漸被洗褪的歷史中，我們如何重新找回一個城市的文化底蘊？
一說澳門，除大三巴外很多人都會想起議事亭前地的舊市政廳噴水池，還有已拆卸的愛都酒店外牆的大壁畫，原來這些都是出自意大利藝術家、建築師夏剛志（Oseo Acconci）的手筆。夏剛志上世紀三十年代曾在上海工作，因逃避戰火到了香港然後於1938年移居澳門，至1988年離世，在澳門曾留下很多具標誌性的建築（如學校、教堂及公共設施）、雕塑和壁畫作品，簡約及功能兼備，且呈現獨特的匠人精神。可惜近年在都市不斷擴張的情況下，不少散佚的作品在還未被公眾認識前就被拆毀了。
本講座請來曾深入研究夏剛志的李銳俊，娓娓道來如何從零散的文獻資枓中挖掘失散的藝術歷史，讓我們認識夏剛志的生平及五十至七十年代澳門一些公共建築與藝術作品，從其建築風格和美學特色等，探討這些逐漸被遺忘的城市文化是如何形成。香港與澳門同在遺忘歷史之爭中，當這些文化底蘊逐漸被無情地遺忘，我們還談何一個城市的「特色」？

講者簡介：
李銳俊
成長於澳門的藝術工作者，目前工作生活於台北。主要工作為出版社編輯，自由接案工作包括：劇場創作／藝術策劃／藝術史研究／寫作及編輯等。創作議題包括澳門城市發展、邊緣社群調研採訪，同時撰寫文化評論及人物專訪等。博士論文以澳門五十至八十年代藝術史為研究項目，尤其以藝術家夏剛志為主要研究對象。2025年，由論文改編的《無盡之夏，一段被遺忘的澳門現代藝術史：夏剛志生平與作品研究》，由澳門國際研究所出版。
This talk by Jane Lei delves into the artistic legacy of Oseo Acconci, an Italian artist and architect who significantly shaped Macau’s urban landscape through his diverse works, including public art, sculptures, and architectural designs. Acconci, who moved to Macau in 1983 after fleeing wars in Hong Kong, left behind a rich cultural imprint that is integral to the city’s identity. However, this legacy has been threatened by recent urban development.
Jane’s research uncovers how many of Acconci’s significant contributions have been lost or overlooked amid ongoing development, raising important questions about the preservation of cultural heritage. By examining scattered historical documents and artworks, Jane aims to highlight Acconci’s profound influence on the character of Macau’s urban environment and the necessity of recognising and reclaiming these lost narratives. This exploration is particularly relevant to Hong Kong’s own struggles with heritage preservation, as both cities confront the pressures of urban development and the risk of forgetting their unique cultural histories.

About Guest Speaker:
Jane Lei
An artist from Macau, currently based in Taipei. Jane primarily works as a book editor at a publishing house, while her freelance projects encompass theatre creation, art curation, art historical research, writing, and editing. Her creative and research endeavours cover Macau's urban development and engaging with marginalised communities, alongside cultural commentary and personal profiles. Her doctoral thesis focused on Macau’s art history from the 1950s to the 1980s, with particular emphasis on the artist Oseo Acconci. In 2025, the thesis was adapted into the book Endless Summer: A Forgotten Chapter in Macau's Modern Art History – A Study of the Life and Works of Oseo Acconci, published by the Macau International Institute.
