'传承 · Legacy' commemorates a season of milestones for Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road). As ACS celebrates 140 years of heritage and the centenary of our School Anthem, the Chinese Orchestra marks a significant chapter of its own — 30 years since participating in its first Singapore Youth Festival in 1996, a defining moment that laid the foundation for decades of musical growth and excellence.

From its early beginnings to its continued pursuit of distinction, the ACS (Barker Road) Chinese Orchestra has been shaped by generations of dedicated conductors, alumni, student leaders, and musicians who have carried forward a shared vision of artistry and brotherhood. What began as aspiration has grown into a tradition — one built on discipline, passion, and collective pride.

In the spirit of unity, our boys join hands with the Fuhua Secondary School Chinese Orchestra, celebrating friendship through music that honours Singapore’s cultural identity. Works by distinguished local composers and beloved Xinyao melodies remind us that legacy is not static — it is living, evolving, and strengthened through collaboration.
