Did you know? Hernia usually cannot heal on its own, and the only definitive treatment is surgery. If not treated in time, the hernia may gradually enlarge and even lead to severe complications such as intestinal obstruction or bowel necrosis.
In this health talk, we will not only explain small bowel hernias but also delve into the causes and symptoms of gallstones. Early-stage gallstones may not initially notice obvious symptoms. They are often not obvious and can be very similar to stomach pain. However, complications like gallbladder inflammation can have serious consequences. Don’t ignore the signs—seek medical attention early!
Our hospital will hold a free health talk on 2 September, 2025 (Tuesday) at the Hong Kong Central Library, our Consultant In General Surgery, Dr. Yang Pei Cheung, George, who will explain the causes and treatments of hernia and gallstones.
