About this Event

聲景在展覽《璀璨霓虹》中發揮了重要作用。日常卻具代表性的城市聲響，如服裝廠機器運作的嗡嗡聲、茶餐廳裡奶茶杯的碰撞聲、繁忙街道上的腳步聲，帶領觀眾踏上以香港為主題的旅程，喚醒這城市為我們帶來的情感和記憶。

我們如何製作一個能夠引導觀眾情感，又能配合空間主題的聲景？聲音設計總監蔣源龍、聲音設計師李嘉誠和傅卓民將解構展覽沉浸式聲景的創作過程。

在這90分鐘的分享，參加者將一探聲景的製作過程。聲音設計師鹿島將現場示範如何融合不同聲音處理技術，包括過濾、時間伸展和混響，把實地錄音轉化為有氛圍和層次的聲景。

The soundscape has played a vital role in portraying “Luminous Neon”. From the industrial hum at garment factories, clatter of milk tea cups at local restaurants to daily footsteps on bustling streets, the exhibition has sent the audience to a Hong Kong-themed adventure through day-to-day yet defining sounds of the city, evoking emotions and memories that reflect the profound impact Hong Kong has had on personal lives.

What makes an emotionally guiding soundscape for a curated environment? Join Sound Design Director, Roy Cheung, and sound designers Kyle Li and Coleman Foo as they reveal the creative process and workflow in making the immersive sound worlds created for the exhibition.

Through this 90-minute sharing, participants will also get an exclusive look at how a soundscape comes to life. Sound designer LUKDO will demonstrate how the transformation of real field recordings into atmospheric layers is done behind the scenes with various techniques, such as filtering, time-stretching and reverb shaping.

Roy Cheung 蔣源龍

Roy Cheung graduated from the University of Surrey in the UK with first-class honours Bachelor’s degrees in Music and Sound Recording, and won multiple awards along the way. Before relocating back to Hong Kong, he worked at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and is currently teaching at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

He has produced recordings and designed sound for many major artists and organizations in the region, including Jaap van Zweden, Rachel Cheung, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hong Kong Ballet.

蔣源龍於英國薩里大學音樂及錄製系取得一級榮譽學士學位，並榮獲多個獎項。他曾於倫敦市政廳音樂及戲劇學院工作，現於香港演藝學院任教。

蔣源龍曾與多個著名藝術家及團體合作，為其錄製音樂及設計音效，包括梵志登、張緯晴、香港管弦樂團和香港芭蕾舞團等。
