Carnegie-Stout Public Library in Dubuque will show the movie "Hamnet" on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the Aigler Auditorium on the Library's 3rd Floor. Admission is free, but seating is first come, first served.Based on the bestselling novel by Maggie O'Farrell, "Hamnet" (2025) is a historical drama about the death of the young son of Agnes Hathaway (played by Jessie Buckley, Best Actress Oscar winner) and her husband, William Shakespeare.
This 2 hour 6 minute long movie is rated PG-13 for "thematic content, some strong sexuality, and partial nudity." Closed captioning or subtitles will be turned on.
