Zijn nieuwste werk, The Bird Of A Thousand Voices, is geïnspireerd door een oud Armeens volksverhaal dat de zoektocht naar wereldharmonie beschrijft. Voor deze unieke muzikale en visuele show slaat hij de handen in elkaar met Ruben van Leer, bekend om zijn adembenemende multimediaprojecten en beeldend kunstenaar Boris Acket, die zorgt voor een betoverend audiovisueel landschap. Samen met de zinderende stem van Areni Agbabian en een interactieve lichtinstallatie brengen ze een Armeense mythe tot leven die Hamasyan al van kinds af aan boeit. Hun boodschap? (EN) Award-winning jazz pianist Tigran Hamasyan is one of those artists who always gives his all, both on and offstage. His music mixes contemporary jazz with the power of rock and a dash of his Armenian roots. His latest work, The Bird Of A Thousand Voices, is inspired by an old Armenian folk tale that describes the search for world harmony. For this unique musical and visual show, he joins forces with Ruben van Leer, known for his breathtaking multimedia projects; and visual artist Boris Acket, who creates an enchanting audiovisual landscape. Together with the blistering voice of Areni Agbabian and an interactive lighting installation, they bring to life an Armenian myth that has fascinated Hamasyan since childhood. Their message? To change the world, we first have to change ourselves.
