Listen Festival is proud to present Princess Nokia at La Madeleine for her “Girls Tour”.
Princess Nokia is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter of Puerto Rican descent. She identifies as Afro-Indigenous and is known for her genre-blending music that spans hip-hop, punk, soul, and emo. Her work often explores themes of identity, spirituality, and empowerment, reflecting her experiences growing up in East Harlem and the Lower East Side.
Beyond music, Princess Nokia is an outspoken advocate for intersectional feminism and LGBTQ+ rights. She co-founded the Smart Girl Club, a collective aimed at empowering women through discussions on urban feminism and healthy living. Her activism and artistry have made her a prominent voice for marginalized communities, and she continues to use her platform to challenge societal norms and inspire self-expression.
Joining her on stage is Miss Angel. Angela aka Miss Angel is a young lyricist from Antwerp. Hip hop has always been a part of her life and it didn’t take long before she hit the studio with some beatmakers resulting in songs like ‘All of the Shmoke’, ‘Money Making Mami’ and ‘Ghetto Supahstar’.
Now as a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars,” Miss Angel continues to put herself on the map with a sound heavily influenced by UK grime, old school hip-hop and female MCs.
