Breakdancer, model en wereldwijd fenomeen, maar bovenal een zanger die de barok nieuw leven inblaast. Samen met pianist Aleksander Dębicz, drummer Marcin Ułanowski en contrabassist Wojciech Gumiński geeft hij barokiconen als Purcell, Monteverdi, Händel en Vivaldi een verrassend moderne twist. Geen klavecimbel of luit, maar de energieke klanken van piano, basgitaar en drums.
Purcells Music for a While krijgt een hypnotische groove, Monteverdi sleurt je mee in een trance en Vivaldi’s Giustino klinkt fris en gedurfd eigentijds. Dit is barok die zichzelf opnieuw uitvindt - met één voet in de 18de eeuw, de andere in de 21ste, compleet met high-top sneakers.
