*Scroll for ALB/ENGВе покануваме на промоцијата на книгата и видео есејот „Наследство (или сè што оставаме позади нас)“ на уметницата Ивана Сиџимовска, проект што отвора простор за размислување за тоа што се оставаме зад себе, и како и дали се презема одговорност за тоа наследство денес.
🔺За видео есејот
Преку материјални траги, доживеани искуства, биографски наративи и архивски документи, видео есејот размислува за токсичноста на етнонационалистичките системи и потребата од неидентитетски практики. Премостувајќи историски периоди и геополитички простори, проектот ги доведува во прашање современите односи со вредностите, сеќавањата и материјалните предмети наследени или затекнати. Темите за експропријација (материјално наследство и културна меморија), реституција (државјанство и ограбена земја), правда и помирување (Холокаустот и југословенските војни), како и граничните идентитети (постмигрантски и меѓуетнички) се појавуваат и се испреплетуваат во личните приказни на историски личности, современици и самата уметница. Заедно со наративите на граѓаните во врска со војната и етничкиот конфликт во Македонија од 2001 година - особено оној на млада Албанка која сведочи за трансформациите на идентитетот надвор од границите на мултикултурализмот промовиран од државата - делото ја следи и историјата на поранешната амбасада на Кралската Југославија во Берлин. Зградата изградена за време на нацистичката ера на експроприраното место на вилата Менделсон-Бартолди, најпрвин го вдомила писателот и добитник на Нобелова награда Иво Андриќ, кој се обидувал да ја спречи својата земја да стане дел од фашистичките сојузи. Преку трансформирање на личното во универзално, проектот ја доведува во прашање одговорноста за создавање и пренесување на наследството - материјално, културно, јазично, вонинституционално или приватно на начини што овозможуваат замислување и градење поправедни и инклузивни општества.
🔺За книгата
Публикација претставува збир на серија интервјуа што ги документираат личните искуства, сеќавања и размислувања на луѓе од различни етнички и социјални средини во Северна Македонија. Интервјуата се дел од проект за усна историја, и имаат цел да ги зачуваат живите приказни на поединци чијшто глас често останува незабележан.
Настанот е организиран во заедничка соработа на ПроПис, Скопје и Контрапункт.
Повелете на заедничко размислување за наследството, не како статична категорија, туку како отворен процес што бара грижа, одговорност и нови начини на заедничко постоење.
Истражувањето за проектот е поддржано од програмата Goethe-Institut – Culture Moves Europe, финансирана од Европската Унија, додека продукцијата на публикацијата и видео есејот е реализирана со поддршка од ПроПис Скопје.

Ju ftojmë në promovimin e librit dhe video-esesë “Trashëgimi (ose gjithçka që lëmë pas)” të artistes Ivana Sixhimovska, një projekt që hap hapësirë për të menduar mbi atë që lëmë pas nesh dhe mënyrën se si merret përgjegjësi për këtë trashëgimi sot.
🔺Për video esenë
Përmes gjurmëve materiale, përvojave të jetuara, narrativave biografike dhe dokumenteve arkivore, video eseja reflekton mbi toksicitetin e sistemeve etno-nacionaliste dhe nevojën për praktika joidentitare. Duke kapërcyer periudha historike dhe hapësira gjeopolitike, projekti vë në pikëpyetje marrëdhëniet bashkëkohore me vlerat, kujtesat dhe objektet materiale të trashëguara ose të gjetura. Temat e eksproprijimit (trashëgimia materiale dhe kujtesa kulturore), restitucionit (shtetësia dhe toka e grabitur), drejtësisë dhe pajtimit (Holokausti dhe luftërat jugosllave), si dhe identitetet kufitare (post-migrante dhe ndëretnike) shfaqen dhe ndërthuren në rrëfimet personale të figurave historike, bashkëkohësve dhe vetë artistes. Së bashku me narrativat e qytetarëve lidhur me luftën dhe konfliktin etnik në Maqedoni në vitin 2001 – veçanërisht atë të një të reje shqiptare që dëshmon për transformimet e identitetit përtej kufijve të multikulturalizmit të promovuar nga shteti – vepra ndjek edhe historinë e ish-ambasadës së Mbretërisë së Jugosllavisë në Berlin. Objekti i ndërtuar gjatë epokës naziste në vendin e eksproprijuar të vilës Mendelssohn-Bartoldy, fillimisht strehoi shkrimtarin dhe fituesin e Çmimit Nobel, Ivo Andriç, i cili përpiqej ta pengonte vendin e tij të bëhej pjesë e aleancave fashiste. Duke e shndërruar përvojën personale në një kuptim më të gjerë e universal, projekti vë në diskutim përgjegjësinë për krijimin dhe përcjelljen e trashëgimisë – qoftë ajo materiale, kulturore, gjuhësore, jashtë-institucionale apo private – në mënyra që hapin mundësi për të menduar dhe ndërtuar shoqëri më të drejta dhe më përfshirëse.
🔺Për librin
Botimi përmban një sërë intervistash që dokumentojnë përvojat personale, kujtimet dhe reflektimet e njerëzve me prejardhje të ndryshme etnike dhe shoqërore nga Maqedonia e Veriut. Intervistat janë pjesë e një projekti të historisë gojore dhe synojnë të ruajnë tregimet e gjalla të individëve, zëri i të cilëve shpesh mbetet i padëgjuar.
Ngjarja organizohet në bashkëpunim mes ProPeace Shkup dhe Kontrapunkt.
Ju ftojmë për një reflektim të përbashkët mbi trashëgiminë, jo si një kategori statike, por si një proces të hapur që kërkon kujdes, përgjegjësi dhe mënyra të reja të bashkëjetesës.

We invite you to the promotion of the book and video essay “Inheritance (All That We Leave Behind)” by the artist Ivana Sidzimovska, a project that opens space for reflecting on what we leave behind, and how and whether responsibility for that inheritance is assumed today.
🔺About the video essay:
Through material traces, lived experiences, biographical narratives, and archival documents, the video essay reflects on the toxicity of ethno-nationalist systems and the urgency for non-identitarian practices. Bridging historical periods and geopolitical spaces, the project questions contemporary relationships to values, memories, and material objects inherited or left behind. Themes of expropriation (material heritage and cultural memory), restitution (citizenship and looted land), justice and reconciliation (the Holocaust and the Yugoslav wars), as well as border identities (post-migrant and interethnic) emerge and intertwine within the personal stories of historical figures, contemporary citizens, and the artist herself. Alongside citizens’ narratives concerning the 2001 war and ethnic conflict in Macedonia – in particular that of a young Albanian woman whitnessing identity transformations beyond the limits of state-promoted multiculturalism – the work also traces the history of the former Royal Yugoslav embassy in Berlin. The building, constructed during the Nazi era on the expropriated site of the Mendelssohn-Bartholdy villa, first housed the writer and Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić, who sought to prevent his country from aligning with fascist alliances. By transforming the personal into the universal, the project questions the responsibility of creating and transmitting heritage – material, cultural, linguistic, non-institutional or private in ways that enable imagining and building more just and inclusive societies.
🔺About the book:
The publication is a collection of interviews documenting the personal experiences, memories, and reflections of people from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds in North Macedonia. The interviews are part of an oral history project and aim to preserve the living stories of individuals whose voices often remain unheard.
The event is organized through a collaborative effort between ProPeace Skopje and Kontrapunkt.
Join us for a shared reflection on inheritance, not as a static category, but as an open process that calls for care, responsibility, and new ways of being together.
The research for the project was supported by the Goethe-Institut – Culture Moves Europe programme, funded by the European Union, while the production of the publication and the video essay was realized with the support of ProPeace Skopje.
