During this 10 week process you will experience how Brenda and her team create a safe liberating creative atmosphere where you can workout vocally and enjoy the freedom of exploring your own vocal journey safely with others.
You will be encouraged to take creative risks as Brenda gently pulls you out of your comfort zone to new heights of expressive delivery.
This is a practical in-person workshop for singers of all styles with previous singing experience who wish to develop skills that are fundamental to being a musician/singer and explore both the practicalities of singing a selection of songs from all music styles including Gospel Neo Soul Pop and Jazz and understanding what is needed to be an authentic singer.
This process will be fun expressive holistic and real.........
You will be challenged to listen to the kinds of things you tell yourself when things don't work out in the way you want!
This is a reflective process and honesty is at the root of the authentic singer. Honesty self love and self care!!
The process involves developing the whole person! You will be encouraged to use your whole body and discussions on the music industry mental health and wellbeing and survival as a musician are an intrinsic part of the process.
You will be encouraged to learn new repertoire do some weekly homework tasks take vocal risks receive honest feedback from peers and guidance from Brenda on technical ways to approach vocal challenges.
This is a 10 week practical course reading music notation is not a necessity however you will be given opportunities to try!
The emphasis is on letting go of inhibitions taking risks raising to vocal excellence making mistakes discovering your vocal potentials building confidence in singing in public learning how to talk to yourself and experiencing the joy of singing in your own authentic way!
