About this Event
Belonging Together
The 'Belonging Together' symposium represents a pivotal moment in our shared commitment to educational excellence and collaborative professional development. In partnership with leading academics, thought leaders, schools, and our own staff, we are advancing a model of practice rooted in the collaborative ethos currently embedded at Hopewell School. This approach ensures that we are embedding a reflective and academically rigorous CPD model at Hopewell.
Hopewell is unique — it receives referrals for children and young people who have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) for Social Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH), Cognition & Interaction (C&I) and Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN) from currently 7 local authorities across East London, Kent & Essex. We recognise our place within the continuum of specialist support.
The symposium will serve as a platform to share effective practice across schools, foster inter-institutional dialogue, and cultivate a culture of collective growth through lectures, structured discussions, and practical engagement.
The central theme — Belonging, Inclusion, and Mattering — will guide our exploration of the values that underpin our mission: to restore hope, release potential, and rebuild lives. Through this shared endeavour, we aim to reaffirm our commitment to inclusive education and the transformative power of belonging within our school communities.
