Broken beats for hard times – or hard beats for broken times? The 11th edition of club night Šelest by Heartnoize returns with a fresh take on drum & bass, grime, jungle and experimental electronics spanning from ambient to free jazz. On the 28th of March in Bike_Jesus, we’ll meet on the dancefloor with Hong Kong-born innovator gyrofield, Hyperdub affiliate Proc Fiskal, Nimaš Izbire founder gabi98, and a debut b2b set of local heavy bass OG’s Herss and Vooku.
𝗴𝘆𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 discovered music via online communities as a teenager and, through their listening sessions, developed a unique taste and skills, resulting in drum & bass music like no other. They blend the heavy beats of the UK-born genre with jungle breakbeats, techno, ambient, and also pop or jazz, creating new and unexpected twists. Their production is moody and introspective, in recording as well as on the dancefloor.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗸𝗮𝗹 (𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲) brings energetic beats and innovative soundscapes from Edinburgh, Scotland, combining atmospheric textures, heavy basslines and sounds from other dimensions. His second record, Siren Spine Sysex, released under the Hyperdub label, blended grime and 90s synths with Gaelic folk as a commentary on the tourist industry’s commodification of Scottishness. With the fresh EP Exchequer, he focuses more on creating melodies and ambient vocals. Together with all sorts of heavy beats, they’ll be a part of his live set.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘀 b2b 𝗩𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘂 will follow up on the gyrofields set, moving between 150-160 bpm and across footwork, juke and more or less broken beats. Get ready for heavy bass closing, high energy and fast speed crossing into territories where energy and darkness meet.

Gabriele Steffe aka 𝗴𝗮𝗯𝗶𝟵𝟴 belongs to the new generation of Ljubljana's underground club scene. His sets are inspired by rave culture, avant-pop, and alternative urban music. Sometimes he moves in the realm of ambient soundscapes, other times in chaotic club energy, but he always has something surprising in store.
