We need your help! Starting in the afternoon, join us as over the hills of Tawatawa Reserve where we will be hand releasing newly planted natives from a variety of weeds, which grow rapidly but if left alone, will smother and K*ll any young native plants. Once the seedlings are put into the ground we need to continue caring for them for the next 3 - 5 years to ensure their survival. When they have reached 5 years old they are often big enough to fend off the weeds and look after themselves, which will be our time to step back. Caring for these young native rākau is a big job, and we couldn't do it without your help!
