Let me tell you about something Tampa's been missing - a place donde our Latino hearts can feel at home on Sundays...
Welcome to SALSA SUNDAYS at 809 Restaurant & Lounge, where we're not just teaching steps, we're preserving cultura. This is the REAL Salsa mi gente - música con historia, rhythms que nos corren por las venas, songs that have stories from our barrios, our struggle, our joy.
Every Second Sunday, we transform 809 into what Tampa deserves: a cultural sanctuary where young people can connect to de donde venimos, where couples can remember why they fell in love to these rhythms, and where our community can gather around music que cura el alma.
What makes this special?
We start with professional salsa lessons 3PM with the incredible Jenny from Dance Therapy To Go - check out her amazing work at www.dancewithjenny.carrd.co. She doesn't just teach steps, she teaches the sabor, the feeling that makes salsa SALSA.
Then we dance. We celebrate. We remember who we are. 3:30-7PM
This is our gift to Tampa - creating the space our cultura has been hungry for. Whether you're Dominican, Puerto Rican, Cuban, Colombian, or just someone who understands that good music has no borders, este es tu hogar.
