3-day intensive course by Zygomaniaks teaching theory, hands-on models & cadaver training for advanced zygomatic implant skills.
About this Event

Zygomaniak Academy is proud to launch our upcoming 3 day Australian course - focused on All-on-X Planning, Models & Cadaver training, alongside advanced Zygomatic implant education.

This immersive experience is designed for clinicians ready to deepen their understanding of surgical planning, prosthetic integration and real-world application not just theory, but hands-on learning with intention.

Because world-class outcomes begin with world-class education.

Early bird (first 10 seats): $12,750

Normal fee: $14,750

Interest free payment plan: from $265 per week

Course Overview — Zygomatic Implant Placement Planning + Models + Cadaver (Sydney)

Delivered in a bespoke small-group, high-touch style that Zygomaniak Academy is known for, this program is designed to take you from advanced diagnosis and prosthetically driven planning through to precision execution—first on models, then in a full-day cadaver environment.

Zygomaniak Academy positions its advanced training around the planning and execution of complex maxillary rehabilitation using zygomatic implant placement, delivered in small groups with an emphasis on repetition, anatomical understanding, and real-case surgical workflows.

What this course is designed to do

By the end of the program, you should feel significantly more confident to:

  • Assess complex maxillary cases with severe bone resorption (medical/dental risk, sinus anatomy, prosthetic space, smile line considerations)
  • Build a prosthetically driven zygomatic implant plan (tooth position first → implant trajectory second)
  • Work through CBCT-based digital planning (zygomatic anatomy, sinus pathways, orbit boundaries, avoidance zones, emergence profile)
  • Understand immediate loading principles in zygomatic rehabilitation (cross-arch stabilisation, biomechanics, distribution, fixation strategy)
  • Execute a consistent, step-by-step surgical approach that translates from planning → osteotomy → implant placement → restoration

The learning format (what makes it different)
1) You’re assigned a cadaver CBCT to plan

Rather than planning “generic” cases, you’ll be allocated a CBCT from your cadaver specimen and guided through how to:

  • Identify key anatomical landmarks including the zygomatic body, sinus cavity, lateral wall, infraorbital region, and nasal boundaries
  • Determine ideal zygomatic implant trajectories (intra-sinus vs extra-sinus concepts where relevant)
  • Confirm restorative space and prosthetic envelope in severely resorbed maxillae
  • Plan implant length, diameter, angulation, and emergence for predictable prosthetic outcomes

This becomes your case for the weekend, ensuring the digital plan is not theoretical—it is directly connected to the surgical execution you will perform.

2) You convert the plan into a physical, surgical rehearsal (3D model)

You’ll receive a 3D model derived from the CBCT so you can rehearse your zygomatic implant trajectory and positioning with instruments in hand before entering the cadaver lab—bridging the gap between digital software planning and the tactile reality of long-implant placement.

This step allows you to refine angulation control, understand depth perception, and mentally map the surgical pathway before working on real anatomy.

3) Hands-on builds in intensity: Plan → Model → Cadaver

The course is structured to progressively increase realism and complexity.

By the time you reach the cadaver day, you are not starting from scratch—you are executing a thoroughly planned and rehearsed zygomatic implant placement protocol.

This staged progression builds:

  • Anatomical confidence
  • Surgical flow and orientation
  • Control of angulation and trajectory
  • A clear, prosthetically driven end goal

The result is a structured, repeatable workflow for predictable zygomatic implant rehabilitation in complex maxillary cases.
