The Smithsonian National Zoo's annual lights exhibition is back this year with its 16th edition.
Now in its 16th year, this annual holiday light spectacular welcomes visitors to walk down festive pathways and explore immersive displays throughout the Zoo.
Where you can wander the zoo with a hot holiday drink and take in spectacular holiday light displays and live music performances take a ride on the train or the Conservation Carousel sample sweet and savory seasonal treats and check gifts off your holiday shopping lists at our Asia Trail Panda Plaza and Great Cats stores.
You will also get a chance to see more than 100 lanterns depicting ocean desert grassland rainforest and polar habitats and the animals that call them home.
(Note that the animals aren't involved in this event and are fast asleep while this is happening).
