About this Event
This zine workshop connected to the roundtable discussion Til Debt Do Us Part: Family Migration and Reunion in the UK (25 March 2026, 17:00-18:30 at IASH - register here) will engage participants in the creation and playful exploration of zines on the topic of family migration and reunion in the UK. Facilitated by Dr Vanessa Montesi, the workshop will show how to create different types of folds and develop zines out of different types of textual and image prompts including black-out poetry, essay marking, games. Different options for engagement will be made available, and the results will be incorporated in the final report on the postdoctoral project, sent to MSPs and freely distributed to the public.
This is a free event, which means we overbook to allow for no-shows and to avoid empty seats. While we generally do not have to turn people away, this does mean we cannot guarantee everyone a place. Admission is on a first come, first served basis.
