About this Event
This workshop is open to all, but specifically built with neurodivergent youth and adults ages 14+ (Autistic, ADHD, LDs, intellectual and other Neurodevelopmental, and related disabilities) in mind. We'd love to have you create with us!
What is a Zine?
A zine (pronounced "zeen") is a small, self-published booklet. You can fill it with drawings, collages, words, or anything you'd like! This is beginner-friendly, process-driven, and Neuroivergent affirming. 1:1 supports are welcome and included in studio spots.
What we'll do:
- Learn 2–3 simple zine folds (one page, no stapler needed)
- Use collage, markers, colored pencils, stickers, writing, or drawings.
- Leave with a finished 4-8 page zine!
- All materials (paper, scissors, glue, markers, collage images, stamps, and more). Just bring your ideas, or follow prompts.
Accessibility
- All communication styles are welcome and supported, whether you speak, sign, write, use assistive technology or AAC, gesture, or communicate in another way.
- Regulation tools are welcome (Noise-reducing headphones, earplugs, fidgets, or any regulation tools you utilize.)
