Zest Speed Dating is a straightforward, well-run way to meet someone — in real life
The evening is structured to make things feel easy and comfortable, with a series of short, face-to-face conversations so you can see if there’s a natural connection.
There’s no pressure and nothing forced — just a clear, relaxed and enjoyable way to meet someone.
Whether it’s your first time or you’ve done speed dating before, everything is explained on the night so you can simply arrive, settle in, and take part.
Each event is personally hosted by Sarah, founder of Zest, helping create a calm, welcoming and well-run evening.
We aim for a balanced group, typically around 12 men and 12 women.

What to expect
- A calm, well-organised evening where everything is taken care of
- A series of 4–5 minute one-to-one conversations
- A relaxed, comfortable venue, with free parking on-site
- A short break halfway through
- A simple, private matching process afterwards
Date & time: Wednesday 17th June, 7:00pm–9.30pm
Location: Browns Brasserie & Bar, 7 Haven Rd, Exeter EX2 8BP
Ticket price: £29 per person (food and drinks purchased separately)
Parking: Ample free parking — simply enter your car registration on arrival
Who can attend?
This event is for singles aged 50–65 who are open to meeting someone in real life.
Everyone attending is there with genuine intent — simply to meet and see if there’s a connection.
How it works
7:00pm
Arrive, check in, and get settled with a drink. You’ll receive your dating sheet and number.
(Please arrive by 7:15pm so we can begin on time)
7:20pm
The dating begins. Ladies remain seated, and gentlemen rotate.
Each conversation lasts around 4–5 minutes, with a clear signal to move on.
Halfway break
Time to pause, refresh, or top up your drink.
9.30pm
The evening finishes, with the option to stay on for a drink.
After the event
You will receive a short online form the following morning to submit your matches.
Please return your choices by Saturday at 12pm to be included.
Match results will then be shared over the weekend.
If there are no mutual matches, you will still be notified.
Please note
- Tickets are non-refundable
- One transfer to a future Zest Speed Dating event may be requested with at least 7 days’ notice
- Food and drinks are purchased separately
- Please book within the advertised age range (ID may be requested)
- We aim for a balanced group, though numbers may vary slightly
- Booking numbers and individual attendee details are not shared
- If there is a mutual match, first name and email address will be shared
