We are thrilled to announce that Beverly Maurice will be our guest speaker. Please join us at the Zenden meeting on August 21st at 5pm. We kindly request that you arrive early, as the Coffee Shop closes at 5pm on Wednesdays. The meeting will focus on sharing valuable information on how to enhance our lives, with a particular emphasis on mental health awareness and overall well-being. It is essential to recognize that our stomach is our second brain. Beverly Maurice is a Community Educator for the Alzheimer’s Association, Team Captain and Committee member for the Iredell/LKN Walk to End Alz, and the daughter of a mother with Alzheimer’s. She holds a Master’s degree in Bioethics and a Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Her extensive experience includes working as a High School & Early College substitute teacher, Holocaust Educator, Founding Board Member of Statesville’s PFLAG, former developmental therapist, and Guardian ad litem for Iredell County.
