Calling all Film and TV enthusiasts! 📺
Our Zellogs networking event is back on Thursday 13th November with a film and TV special! 🎉
We have some incredible guest speakers coming to discuss how the industry is growing within Birmingham. As always tickets are FREE and include a continental breakfast! 🥐
Joining us in Nomad on November 13th will be Caroline officer- an award winning TV producer and educator.
She established her career at the BBC in Birmingham before moving to London to series produce the original Ready, Steady Cook. Caroline also developed and produced the popular daytime cookery show, Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook with presenter Ainsley Harriott, winning the National Television Award for Best Daytime Show.
Caroline moved back to Birmingham to establish the Endemol Midlands production office and over eight years produced 3,000 hours of television and provided employment for many television freelancers in the region.
An invitation to develop and lead production modules at Birmingham City University in 2006 led her to a successful secondary career in media education, joining the School of Media as course director for the BA and MA Television Production Courses.
In 2018, she left the university to re-enter the local professional screen sector and has worked closely with ScreenSkills to design and deliver an Employability Toolkit for graduates, managed the local Trainee Finder Bootcamps and co-designed and led the Leadership and Management for Film Production course.
In 2022, she worked closely with leading sports producers, Sunset + Vine, to deliver a training programme for 150 local people to work in production roles on the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
In 2023 and 2024, she delivered the successful trainee programme for Channel 4’s Late Night Lycett show.
Caroline will be discussing the increase in production activity in the West Midlands and what that means for the area and the industry.
Also Joining us is Reel Brum:
