ZACKERBILKSCanberra’s fabulous local traditional Dixieland jazz band, the Zackerbilks, takes to the stage for their much-anticipated twice-yearly appearance at ‘Jazz at Jamison’.
This highly professional eight-piece band of local musicians, led by popular vocalist and banjo player Miriam Miley-Reid, has a huge following within the jazz community. The fun and lively band, performing their own style of Dixieland jazz, plays to rave reviews and has earned its reputation as Canberra’s leading jazz band, known for its high energy and entertaining style.
Enjoy 3 hours of toe-tapping hot traditional jazz tunes from the turn of the century through to some of today's popular tunes, plus some originals from Miriam, reworked to sound like a Dixieland cover.
The 'Bilks with their irrepressible charm and their often-changing line-up of talented local musicians never ceases to entertain and delight the crowd.
