There’s a raw and deeply human volatility coursing through Okay Bloomer: a restless, bleeding energy that never settles, never flattens into “just” music. At once an icky wound and ritualistic psychic mending, Zack Christ writes music from inside the rupture borne from a decade filled with disorientation, resistance, and a stubborn hope of clarity.
Translated from his native Danish, the album subtitle reads something like: “On entering the world with skin as an open wound, a naked clothedness” perfectly capturing the poetic, expressive nature of the album.
By turns, these 10 songs venture into the abrasive, the euphoric, the fragile, and the unflinchingly loud. As an existential metamodern horror-thriller-love story the album unapologetically plows through glitchy electronics, raw hardcore, acid techno, hyper pop's synthetic excess with flashes of early 2000s R&B, inviting in intimate openings throughout.
At the core of Okay Bloomer is the process of coming to grips with a late autism diagnosis. The songs carry the weight of looking back at years spent trying to “fix” what never needed fixing, of grieving lost time, while also holding the fragile relief of finally naming what never made sense.
There’s a purposeful banality to the music: A naive emotional boldness that lets the songs be both direct and disarmingly honest. By leaning into this obvious space, this sensitive sentimentality not only blooms into a real life complexity but also becomes a mirroring mural for feelings of marginalisation, whatever their kind.
Okay Bloomer isn’t about resolving anything. It’s about living inside the friction: the uneasy space between wanting to be “fixed” and realising you were never broken.

Zack Christ is a Danish producer and composer working at the intersection of glitch, pop, and noise in the realm of pure, honest emotional excess.
His music blends the chaotic with the precise, the synthetic with the organic, as it tries to make sense of being an emotional human in an unsensitized world.
After spending much of the 2010s exploring lo-fi experiments and remixes, Zack released his first digital long-format work, Bana2.n, in 2018 via Enig'matik Records, followed by a prolonged and involuntary hiatus from 2019 to 2023. During this period, he remained productive behind the scenes despite personal and systemic challenges.
In 2024, he returned with the dense and noisy EP 𐘲(𐘨)𐚎𐘲𐝥𐃀𐘡𐘴𐝂. on glitch[dot]cool, followed by Underbearing (2025, katharsis), a personal compilation of demo recordings tracing loss, burnout, and soft recoveries.
With Okay Bloomer, released on Barkhausen Recordings, Zack unveils his most ambitious work to date, chronicling his time marked by mental health struggles, marginalisation, and the slow, disorienting aftermath of receiving an adult autism diagnosis.
It is an album shaped in equal parts by tension, sincerity, banality, and a refusal to compromise in both life and music.
